WHAT TO EXPECT
1.) Drop items off at Emmi's Closet.
2.) Emmi's Closet staff will inspect items for quality, style, brand, etc.
3.) A price will be determined for accepted items, and they will be placed in the store for sale.
4.) Any items that are not in style, poor quality, etc. may be rejected by Emmi's Closet. If so, we will contact you about such items.
5.) Any items that do not sell within the required time limit (outlined below in our Consignment Guidelines) will be donated.
CONSIGNMENT GUIDELINES
1.) Emmi's Closet will determine the selling price and acceptability of each item.
2.) Consigner will receive 40% of the final selling price of all items. If you choose to use your consignor credit in-store, you will receive 20% off your purchase.
3.) Consignment time is a minimum of 60 days and up to 90 days. Between 30 and 45 days, Emmi’s Closet may mark down unsold items at our discretion to help move merchandise.
Between 60 and 90 days, any unsold items will be donated to local organizations.
4.) Formal gowns are consigned for one year. If not sold after one year, you may choose to re-consign or pick up your item. The 20% discount does not apply when purchasing a formal gown using in-store credit.
5.) Emmi's Closet accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
6.) You may request a check by calling the store or stopping in. Checks are mailed quarterly UPON REQUEST and must be requested prior to the first day of the new quarter: January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
7. The minimum check amount is $20. Amounts under $20 will be issued as in-store credit only.
8.) Payments not collected by the consigner after one year will become the property of Emmi's Closet.
